Course Overview

MSMSS00020 prepares workers to operate a vacuum loading system independently, on unfamiliar worksites, and in line with safe work requirements. It combines the technical skills to operate vacuum loading equipment with the safety, permit, and emergency response knowledge expected of a competent operator working without direct supervision.

This skill set is intended for members of a vacuum loading team who are moving from supervised to independent operation. It packages four units of competency from the MSM Manufacturing Training Package: one technical unit specific to vacuum loading equipment, and three units covering safe work practices, permit-based work, and emergency response.

Training is delivered on-site at your workplace wherever practical, so learners train on equipment and in conditions relevant to their actual work environment.
